Are there premade grip tape grip thingies or do I just wrap it up in skaters tape? Seriously what should I use?
I'm also going to grip tape up the bottom of my magazines since I don't like the pierce extensions.
I've gone both routes, precut decal grips on my G-19 and G-35, and anti-skid tape on my shotgun and the vert. foregrip on my M-4orgery. The anti-skid tape is rougher, provide better grip when my hands are wet with sweat, available at Wally World, the decal grips are good to, just not as rough feeling, and are available at most anyplace online

I prefer skatebaord tape. You can pick it up at any skate shop. Before applying it I clean the frame with acetone and denatured alchohol. I also use 3M Super 77 spray on adhesive.
There is a product out called TRUGRIP (http://www.ericwesselman.com/store/Glock.html) that looks promising.
I like CGR's idea cause I'm a low-speed , low-budget kind-of-guy.
TruGrip all the way. Painless, pre-cut. Rubbing alchohol and away you go. 9000 rounds through the G34 with these grips and they are still going. Easy and effective - great product.

Try 3M "Safty Walk" Syn Rubber textured tape in 1" or 2" width's. It's virtually the same stuff as "Decal Grip" se4lls for $8.00 a pop. Many larger Hardware stores carry it and the 1" is only .68 cents per foot, comes in gray or black and find the med texture bst for handguns. Adhesive is exc. Stuf is so good can even skive the edges with an Exacto type knife. Has lasted 2-3 yrs. on own CCW guns and a couple of seasons on Game guns, easy to remove with no sticky mess and cheap to renew. Even use it on AR pistol grips and bottom of forearms, etc.

After applying the tape, I wrap it tightly with kite string and let it sit for a couple of days. This seems to help it "set" in place. I haven't had a problem with the tape coming off when I do this.

I've had good luck using hockey tape, the non waxed kind.
When it gets worn out, I just rewrap it. Usually it will last about a month with lots of shooting, though if I feel it starting to wear a bit I'll rip it off and rewrap. The stuff I got doesn't leave any residue behind so the grip isn't sticky if I pull the tape off.

TruGrip all the way.
A big +1!! This stuff is absolutely great...reasonably priced, cut to fit, gives just the right amount of stick and looks great to boot. For my competition G34, Hogue sleeves didn't cut it, Agrip worked but I wanted something even better...TruGrip was the answer.
After trying it, my only worry is that, like everything I like, it won't be available some ways down the road...fortunately it comes 3 sets to the pack :)
I have 3M tread tape on my G30 (build a custom pattern to fit the G30) and TruGrip on my 17. TruGrip is great but they do not make it for the G30. If you want I can maybe photocopy my pattern and email it then you can cut it out of whatever you want.....
The G30 pattern I made does not cover the backstrap, it goes on the front first and wraps to the back. I will post pics later.....
