A buddy and i were looking at a torture test today on a G17 with like half a million through it and he asked a very interesting question. Since the G17 was only a two pin frame, and the G19 is a three pin frame...is the G19 expected to hold up even better. I said with Glocks, the just dont break, so its not an issue either way, but im interested to hear what you all have to say.

I may be wrong but I believe that the new 17's are 3 pin as well.

the brand new 17s are three pin guns, but all the older ones, i think 03 and older are two pin. The one in the torture test was a gen 2 so it was def. a 2 pin

The explanation I got was that the 3rd pin was not really for the 9mm guns but for the 40 S&W guns but because they use the same frames they just produced them all with 3 pins. I think that in 9mm it's a non-issue but they may be even stronger now.

You are correct.
All 9mm Glocks will last a long time.
