I have been using the grip for past 4 months... very comfortable and enhance my grip better Davegrave 10-17-2005, 00:18 I have them on my 21 and 23. I like them a lot. Sometimes it will scoot up and get in the way of my mag release on the 23, but not much, and only because I'm too lazy to trim it. Perfect on the 21. Tight as hell to get on, but I love it. The 21 has a big grip to start with, but the Houge grip (even though it technically added bulk) made it much nicer to hold and more manageable. IMO, For $10 or so, it's not that big of a waste if you try it and end up tossing it later. But a big thumbs up on them from me. Dave Chupy 10-17-2005, 12:07 Thanks, I will be picking one up today. I'll see how it feels. Hopper 10-17-2005, 19:35 I love 'em! A 2nd gen. G19 w/Hogue grip feels like it was molded to my hand. Chupy 10-17-2005, 23:15 I have to agree. I bought one today and put it on. It feels nice, definitely easier to hang on to. Headed back to the range thursday. This week is going by too slow. Chupy 10-20-2005, 09:37 hooray range day is here! I feel like a kid at christmas haha dbotos 10-20-2005, 20:08 Put some isopropyl alcohol inside the slip-on grip before putting it on. It will slide on much easier and then the alcohol will dry out without leaving any residue. Old bike/motorcycle grip installation trick. Where the hell were you at when I was wearing out my finger tips trying to pull that effer onto my giant G21 grip? Chupy 10-20-2005, 23:16 that post was a little late for me too the worst part was the fact that when I put the grip on I was in such a hurry to see how it was going to fit my hand that I originally put it on upside down. Realized it when it fit and looked funny on the gun. Think putting one on is hard try taking one off. After 30 or so minutes finally had a nice feeling grip. I went to the range today. Just finished cleaning my 19. Great purchase, couldn't be happier. Grip was nice as well. The slight added thickness made for a better fit. Babysinister 10-21-2005, 16:58 I bought the slip on grip last saturday, alng with my NIB 3rd generation G19. But my 58-year old, incipiently arthritic hands had some trouble slipping them on until finally, last night, amid much huffing, puffing and cursing, I found enough time and patience to do it. Now I have them safely installed. It feels great, and I can't wait to try out the new grips, not to mention the new gun! Alas, I live in Miami, and there is the little matter of a hurricane named Wilma, who probably won't let me out the house until well after she's gone. Hope Miami dodges that bullet, but it doesn't look like it as of today. vic2_187 11-05-2005, 20:47 if it makes you shoot better, go for it. my experience with it is that it makes a concealment pistol bulkier. im carrying an model 19, and im staying in a tropical county, so clothing is minimal. sometimes im only wearing a t-shirt, with my glock tucked in my waist. since the material is rubber, fabric from shirts tend to stick to it, so at one time, my shirt was pulled up with the gun exposed, good thing my lady warned me. if you shoot fine, with out it, forget about it... DocH 11-06-2005, 18:33 I had one on a G23 several years ago,but didn't like the palm swell. I have a Pachmayer on an old G19 that doesn't have the swells. I like it better, but it's a mater of individual taste like anything else. buddyRoland 11-07-2005, 07:50 Had one but I shoot better without it. Didn't like the bulk it added, which wasn't that much but threw off my grip. tfisher 11-14-2005, 20:01 I love my Hogue grip. The added palm swell helped me move my trigger finger out just enough to stop me from shooting left. It also improved my draw by moving my hand further up for a snugger grip. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d53/tomfisher/Glock19small.jpg vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
