My home range now has a select fire G34 for rent. I am curious as to how it is legally possible for this pistol to be converted? The aftermarket cylindrcal selector switch is at the rear of the slide. I had thought that it was not legal for new auto conversion devices to be introduced to the market. Guess I am wrong?

The switch is a post sample machine gun. This means it was produced after the may 86 ban, but is only transferable to military, law enforcement, or a class 3 dealer who has a law enforcement demonstration letter.
Hope that helps.

Unfortunately, the range rules specify that you have to use ammo purchased from the range in rentals. Their ammo prices arent cheap, and I have 12 cases of ammo already in my possesion so I can't really justify buyinig more. OTW, I might just foot the $30 rental for a test drive.

AndABeer,
Do they "watch you" when you shoot? Before I bought my bushmaster, I went to a range and rented one. Same rules applied, only "range ammo" for the rentals. So I bought 1 box of .223 (20rds). In my shooting bag was 150rds (5 loaded 30rd mags) of new winchester .223 ammo. (Much cheaper than their ammo!) The range people never even noticed all the "extra" brass all over the range.
