There isn't any difference in MECHANICAL accuracy between the two. The longer sight radius of the G34 may help shooters shoot it more accurately and the longer snout of the G34 (which moves the center-of-gravity forward) reduces muzzle flip somewhat, possibly allowing one to shoot it accurately more quickly.
I like both so I have both. I slightly prefer the G34.

My Glock 34 cam e with a lighter trigger than the stock Glocks. That's why I like it so much. also has an extended mag release that I like, and a bigger slide stop that is more user friendly.

Well...all you have to do to a G17 is throw in the 3.5# connector, and an extended slide stop on the G17 and you're good to go.
BTW, G34s don't come with extended magazine releases.

G34s don't come with extended magazine releases? I wonder how one got on my G34--I sure didn't put it on!

Huh...they come with extended magazine releases? I thought the differences (besides the length of slide/barrel) was the standard 3.5# connector and extended slide stop.
Let me go scour teamglock/glock.com/glockfaq...

I'm pretty damn sure the G34/35 don't come with extended magazines releases. Anyone else want to confirm?
Both of mine came with extended mag catch and slide release.

Well...I had this little Glock brochure, and it didn't mention anything about an extended slide release. Went to Champions yesterday and looked at a 34; lo and behold, the 34 had a mag release extention. It just wasn't the aftermarket "looking" ones; stock Glock, but just a few cm out.

I got mine at Champion. Since I bought mine, they had been out of that model for a while. They must have just got another one in.
I rented one at Champion a couple of months back and was suitably impressed. I like the extended slide stop and all the other features. Plus, it was the first Glock that I had no "low and to the left" problems with. I like that gun. Just wish I could have gotten one in green. SInce I've gotten mine, I've seen some green ones. Figures....
I got my compact Walther P99 at Champion a couple of weeks back too.

For you requirements the G24 ot G17L would be ideal.
