View Full Version : .357 Sig/.40
Probably a stupid thought but,
Can you drop a .357 barrel into a .40 USP?

This will work in a compact but do not function reliably on a full-size.
This would probably turn out to be true as HK doesn't make a 357sig Fullsize USP,so the barrel would have to be aftermarket...

Compact = 100% yes.
Fullsize = don't even bother trying.
The rounds start to nosedive in the fullsize mags after about the 3rd round.
I tried 3 different barrel and it does not work.
It's the crapy plastic magazine. I was hoping that someone would come up with a metal magazine, but nothing so far.
HK actually had even the USP F in .357SIG announced with part number and pricing, but never came through.
The compact is a nice gun, secially if you put the full hammer on it.

Where can I purchase a full hammer? Will it need any "smithing"?
That is difficult and/or exspensive.
You can send it to HK.
I have a friend how is a armor in MESP and they just changed from the V2 to the LEM, so he had some hammers over!:)

i swapped barrels between a USP Compact .40 and .357, and both functioned flawlessly. Just make sure you have the right mag to match the barrel.
