gotta new toy!

new here, i have read a ton of reviews and decided on a new glock 19. got it new for $490 at a local dealer. And i have to say that its the best gun that i have ever shot. it just feels perfect in my hand. i feel that now i must buy another glock! well not yet~but i do have 250 rds for the weekend........what would be the best defensive round? as i shoot the WWB 115 grain FMJ at the local indoor range-thanks

The G19 is a great gun. My round of choice for defense is Cor-bon. Any quality hollow point will do well.

Have not had any trobule using Federal 135gr JHP's. I do believe they are hydra-shock's.

Speer Gold Dot (124, 124 +p, 147)
Remington Golden Saber (124, 124 +p, 147)

There are others, but these are fairly readily available, as are the Federal 135 grain Hydra-Shok "personal defense" loads the Gman mentioned. The 115 grain hardball rounds are great for practice, but I don't trust the 115 hollowpoints as much as the heavier bullets for defense.)

Unless your range has some stupid rule against the use of aluminum-cased Blazer, I'd suggest trying some of it in 115 grain hardball. I love it in all my 9mm Glocks.

I use the same WWB for the range as you do. Being that I am cheap, I also use the WWB Personal Protection 147 grain JHPs for home defense. I feel safe and I am pretty accurate. I do love Corbon 125 +ps, Hornady TAPs, Federal Hydra-Shoks and Magtech +ps, but I am not spending that dough for now.
