1200 for the m8s and 900 for the psps.
Are those good prices for turn in guns?
Is there any reason to pay more for the m8? Only "major difference I see is the mag release.
One of my "before I die" guns is an HKP7 of some flavor. Would I be disappointed in the PSP over the M8? $300 worth of disappointed??

Get the M8 you will be happier. The American mag release is much fast/easier to operate. The heat shield is another nice feature.

When I go to CDNN I can't seem to find their firearms. any help? I just a little slow
You need to download their catalog.
The PSP are too much and the M8 are new.
Buy the M8, you will be happier!

?
the deal breaker with the PSP for me was that the extractor did not stick out as a loaded chamber indicator..............something that I had gotten used to over the last 20 years of P7 shooting

The M8s CDNN is selling appear to be from the last year's production run (AE date code) - NIB, and not German trade-ins. Thus, the higher prices.

I would go PSP. I actualy prefer the psp to the m8. Both great guns though. Trade in psp's have been going for over a grand around me so it sounds like a nice deal either way

Go with the P7M8, you WILL be happier. I had a PSP and did not like the mag release at all. I mean its really up to you but I highly suggest paying more for the P7M8, might be a good investment also. The local shops around here sell those things used at almost new prices (ripp off I know but...) A few years ago I remember seeing a NJSP P7M8 for sale at a local shop (had the insignia I think) and the thing turned purple and had heavy wear (needed a refinish for sure) and they still sold that thing at a premium. PSP's don't retain their value (at least around here) at all. I've seen the German Trade in's and they usually look horrible...
go with the P7M8, very good handgun. For carry I am not so sure but as a keepsake and collectors fun gun, its a must have!!!!

I would say they both hold their value well. People pay $850-900 for psps made 20 years ago that are all beat to hell. Id say thats holding pretty well.

There are several differences between the M8 and PSP. I'll just name a few:
On the M8 but not on the PSP:
Heat shield
larger trigger guard
"american" mag release
Slightly different styling of the frame
hole in the frame at the very back that serves no purpose
loaded chamber indicator
different firing pin bushing that is easier to remove without a tool
Lanyard loop
None of these features make any real difference, not even the mag release. A used M8 will be about $200 more expensive than a used PSP of similar condition. Therefore, for practical purposes the PSP is a much better buy, IMO. (Especially since the P7 has a manual of arms that many people simply don't like.)

M8 mag changes are a lot more fun....;)
If someone has 3 P7M13's and 2 P7M8's, is that enough or do they need more?
I hope so don't know what my wife would believe. :)
