So I've had to modify my grip when shooting with my P95. When holding it normally, my hand would always hit the magazine release and drop the mag out causing a FTF. I have to place my pinky on underneath the magazine to keep it in place so I can fire a full magazine. I've tried to look at the frame when i field strip to see if i can replace the spring myself but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. So is anyone else's like this or do i need to take it to a gunsmith to fix it?

Are you sure you're not hitting the mag release on the right side of the frame with your middle finger during recoil? I have "shaved" the right-side mag releases of all my Rugers (P95, P94, P944) so that they don't stick out at all. Now they're more comfortable and there's no chance of accidental mag release. I'm also assuming you're right-handed. Just reverse what I said if not.

I found that, while CCWing my P-95, that if I bent over or sat down the wrong way, I would inadvertently activate the mag release. Also, while firing, i would hit it ever so often with my firing hand.
I simply re-adjusted how I carry and handle the gun (I pay more attention to the "issue") and I had no more problems.
*Btw, I noticed that they "fixed" this problem with the P-97, when that came out. Wonder if they've "fixed" it on the new version of the P-95?
