Someone talk me out of this

Hi All,
Here's the run down. I've got a hankering for a new pistol already, and with the way ammo is going, I'm sticking with 9mm for economics. I have a beretta 92fs that is OK at best. Sure the slide is like butter, etc etc...but here are my gripes.
1.the darn thing is heavy, I might as well be carrying a 1911.
2. It isn't consistent. One type of ammo I'm right on, and the next type I'm all over the place.
Rumors of frames gone awry with slide blocks - all sorts of stuff
Tonight I had the idea of trading it in on a Glock 17. I have a G-22 and love it, but the 40ammo is getting a little ridiculous in my area.
I figure the glock is easy to work on, more reliable, more concealable, (speaking for my G-22) more accurate, more accessory-accessible, and a heck of alot easier to work on.
But I am a bit impulsive, so I could use some wisdom to hold onto the Beretta 92fs and hold off on a Glock 17....call it counseling
Any compelling arguments on keeping the M9?

Nope! None from me.

Get the G17 and you will never regret it!

One piece of advice, think twice before trading it in. Make sure you won't one day want it back. Maybe take some more time and save up for the G17, then you have both.

That said, if you don't want the Beretta, another option which will undoubtedly bring you more $ toward your purchase is to sell it privately. And add on Glocktalk might do the trick.

unless you live in MD or in California, it's a heck of a lot easier finding a Glock armorer to work on a gun with a broken part (which isn't very often, by the way) than it is to find a Beretta Armorer. Beretta is a great gun, but it is a very big, bulky gun built around a little bullet. Get a 19, and have a good time. Oh, and unless I'm a little slo this morning, isn't your first and last description the same? (easier to work on??)

yea i noticed I repeated myself too...well all will be happy to know that I went with a Glock 17 - then had to get the walther p99. Both are Fantastic guns and I'm super impressed. Christmas is gonna be a little tight haha but I've already got my stocking stuffers.
