After reading the forums on glocktalk for the last year I decided to get enough nerve up and resister and ask a few questions, I should have done this earlier. I been searching for a good answer and noticed some recent related posts so I decided to go ahead and ask.
I have been toying with the idea of making a few changes to my G20 and G29 and would like to add an aftermarket ported barrel to each (Bar-Sto, KKM ect). First off I’m under the impression that adding a ported barrel to a stock glock it’s bad for the gun without changing the setup by having proper springs, guiderod ect. Is this true? If so what recommendations other mods would you need to do fully accomplish this?
Secondly by adding an aftermarket ported barrel to the G29 am I changing the dynamic of the gun significantly, is it overkill? While that may be a matter of personal opinion I’d like to make the same changes to both guns.
