Picked up my P99AS Compact. Price of the gun was 429.99 from CDNN. Transfer fee was higher than I expected, but there was nothing I could do about it at that point.
Anyway, it came with two backstraps. Is the Compact supposed to come with 2 or 3?

Two (2). One already on the pistol and a smaller grip to allow one to downsize the backstrap for a shorter grip.

Yes, it does not come w/ 3 like the full size one.
I swopped mine out just to see the difference between the two, but I like the more rounded grip that comes on the gun by default. I put it back on afterwards.

I'm hoping to go out on Sunday and put some rounds through it and my P99AS. We'll see if I have time.

Two backstraps unlike the full size models which come with three.
Give us a range report of your outing.
And your overall impression. I am just wondering...
This little gem is unfortunately only being offered new in the new trigger system, like the Glock, instead of the old decock system.

If you really try to look, U may find one in the older A/S model. I saw a couple at the big Houston gun show a couple of weeks ago.

CDNN has AS compacts right now. That's where I got mine.
I also got lucky and stumbled upon a full size AS a few weeks back.

I also just purchased a p99c as and received two fullsize backstraps in the box. Walther said they would mail the correct ones out.

I never looked to see if mine were the right ones. I guess I'll have to check.

I tried out my grips but ended up putting the one back that came on the gun - for both my compact and fill size.
That pin is a pain in the butt to knock out, though...
