Thanks MCNETT 10-28-2005, 13:40 BarSto barrels are the only source for 9x25. They are what is called a semi-drop in. About five minutes of work and it will be fit to your slide. Any customer that buys a 9x25 bbl from DoubleTap will have the option of sending their slide to me and I will fit it to your slide for free. -Mike Seattle10 10-28-2005, 16:04 That's only for the g20, not the g29, correct? MCNETT 10-29-2005, 16:27 G29, G20, 1911, or S&W 10XX! -Mike psalms4him 10-29-2005, 20:27 Mike, You okay? I have been calling, but never get an answer at DT, no return call from my voice mails, pages... I also am not getting any responses to my emails. I was worried something happened to you, but then I see you posting here on Glock Talk. How long does an order normally take to fill? Is the .357SIG ammo in stock? My order is showing "pending" for over three weeks (since 10/5). This right? Sorry for interrupting the thread off-topic. But, if it helps, I do like these BarSto barrels. Some fitting is required, but that way you get quality results. I have played with drop-ins before and determined that, for me, I prefer the increased quality of a custom fit if I am going through all the hassle and expense of ordering a quality barrel. Thanks! Viesczy 10-29-2005, 21:49 Mike, Would you be able to get a 1911 barrel in 9x25 for a Para P16? Man I'd love to take my P16 from .40 to both 10mm (done with an Ed Brown barrel) AND 9x25. Then I could really test the 9x25 versus my 9x23W Nowlin. Derek MCNETT 10-30-2005, 00:46 Yes, we have a bbl in stock that is 6" that will fit your Para. psalms4him, Check your PM box. I'll take care of you. -Mike Viesczy 10-30-2005, 07:42 Mike, Thank you for the prompt reply!!! I was hoping to get 5" version of the 9x25 barrel for my Para. What is the turn around time from Bar-Sto for a stock length 9x25 barrel with the Para/Clark ramp? And do you have G29 barrels in 9x25 in stock? Derek culleniii 11-04-2005, 10:50 Is the magazine capacity the same for 9x25 and 10mm? I have a Five-seven and I think I just feel in love with the 9x25. 95fmj at 2000 fps --im loving it at 20 box---its a modern shootable high cap multi shot CZ52 kudos to doubletap--im liking them better by the minute--keep it up I am wondering about the ballistics in a G29 length barrel as well. JSK333 11-04-2005, 13:44 Hey Mike, Just curious why you removed the 90gr GD @ 2100fps from your 9x25 lineup? Was there a problem with the bullet coming apart, or pressure issues, or something else? MCNETT 11-05-2005, 01:08 The 90gr Gold Dot lacked in sales, but I will do a special run again aoon. -Mike mitchmcgee 11-05-2005, 20:49 I love the 2100 fps 90 gn gold dot load. But, wouldn't the 90 gn XTP bullet hold up better? Either way you can epect me to order 500 when they become available. Thanks, Ron3 01-24-2006, 18:38 Originally posted by mitchmcgee I love the 2100 fps 90 gn gold dot load. But, wouldn't the 90 gn XTP bullet hold up better? Good question! But I think they'd both shatter apart at these speeds. Mike? MCNETT 01-25-2006, 22:23 6 of on eand half dozen of the other at these speeds! They are both made for sub 1100fps, but they are fun to hit jackrabbits with! -Mike Ron3 01-26-2006, 17:11 Thanks Mike! Hows the recoil like with those 95gr bullets compared to your 10mm loads? level3 01-26-2006, 21:13 This has probably been covered somewhere by someone more intelligent than I. But the question is, what is the conversion process with switching a handgun over to the 9X25 cartridge? will this work in the standard 10MM magazines and a barrel swap? All of my questions are regarding this process for a S&W 1076, Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you MCNETT 01-27-2006, 13:38 Just swap out the barrel and start shooting! -Mike mitchmcgee 01-28-2006, 01:08 It shoots noticably flatter than the 200 gr XTP DoubleTap loads. About a year ago I shot the 95 gr back to back with my personal range load at a club match. I acutally shot 24 rounds in 22 seconds with the 9x25. It took me 26 seconds with my normal range loads. But, I shot the 9x25 during the second trip through the course. So, it is really not an apples to apples comparison. The 9x25 was shot in a G20 with a wolf 20 lb spring and captured guide rod. The range loads used the stock Glock barrel and captured recoil assembly. Cheers, DNS 01-28-2006, 07:30 What has to be filed to fit these barrels? Just the barrels themself's or the hood on the slide? Thanks mitchmcgee 01-28-2006, 12:41 I used a sharpie, diamond hone, and honing oil. I blackened the barrel hood face and the scuffed the ink by sliding the barrel in and out of battery with a swiping motion. Then I honed the clean sections of the hood. Using a fine hone and light pressure produced a polished finish. I repeated the above until the barrel went in to battery with a slight interference fit. The friction was low enough that the recoil spring would still lock up the slide when the pistol was pointed up and the slide slowly released. It just locks up using the spring tension alone. It took me about 10 minutes to do. Cheers, NoJoy 01-29-2006, 01:58 Mike- Do you offer the 9x25 in fmj? Say 125gr or heavier? vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
