View Full Version : Changing a Hi Power hammer??
Does anyone know where I can find info on stripping a Hi Power Mk III down so that I can replace the hammer? Or is that something that I shouldn't do? Any way any info would be helpful on a complete strip of that gun. It looks like if would be fairly straightforward but I hate surprises.
Thanks:)

Go to the link to 1911Forums. Steve Camp's Books are the best for the $ also can get the info you need right from their Browning Forum:

AGI has a video on complete Hi Power disassembly and reassembly that you may want to check out. It's not that hard to detail strip a Hi Power but it's a fair amount more complicated than say a 1911.
Hammers are not a drop in part. If you can't figure out how to take a gun apart you should not be replacing parts!
Following a book or video does not count as figuring out how to take it apart. Realize that your mistake may kill someone.
