View Full Version : Hi-Cap P22 Mags
Does anybody know if there are hi-cap mags available for the P22? It seems like there is plenty of room in the mag if the follower wasn't so tall.

There are none. It is possible to build them, but because of the positioning of the slide stop in the frame, which is activated on the empty magazine by the thumb stud on the side of the magazine, the only way to make a functioning hi cap would be to extend the magazine out the bottom of the grip G-18 style.
I've heard that building hicap .22lr magazines is a difficult task. Double or staggered stacking is not an option because .22lr will not feed properly and tends to jam due to its size and shape.

The P-22 slightly staggers the rounds in the magazine, albeit not so much as any conventional doublestack pistol would.
