I have a Springfield Champion 1911.
I took the factory long trigger out and swapped my buddy for his short trigger out of his Springfield Mil-Spec.
Long story short, my buddy took off and I can't get the factory trigger back. I hate the short trigger. I have purchased two different triggers, one from Chip McCormick and one from Wilson Combat. Both required a LOT of fitting and I still can't get the dang things to slide into the frame.
After I get enough clearance for the magazine, it's too wide and has no play in the frame and then will go the opposite in addition adjustments.
Any tips for doing this? I don't want to have to take it to a smith because I can't afford it right now, but this is my main carry gun and I am MUCH more comfortable with the longer trigger. Thanks, BBED
