anyone know of anyone who makes decent looking grips for the ppk? I hate these checkered brown plastic grips!!!
I just got a beautiful set for my new PPK/S from eagle grips. Big assortment to choose from. I got the ebony wood grips - their are a matte finish and look excellent on the gun. I don't know why they make such a classy gun and put cheap plastic grips on them?

I just cracked my plastic grips in half the other day, and am looking for replacements. Last fall I cut down A Holly tree in my front yard, and the trunk has been drying out in my basement for the past year. I'm seriously considering carving a pair from that. I've never tried a project like it, but it doesn't seem THAT difficult...
Rest assured that if I do actually do it I will post pictures.

Please post a picture if you make a set. Also post a pictuer of all the ones you scrap before you get 1 good set. I will admit Iam not a wood worker I had a lot of scrap for fire starter. I just bought a set much easiler.
Some very nice looking dress grips can be found here:

However I bought one set and found after a 100 rounds or so the grip started rotating slightly; the recoil had cut into the wood underneath. So now it's a show grip, not a shooting grip.

I have a set of SILO grips that are very nice. They came with the PPK/s. They appear to be Walnut with a very nice cross hatch (see attached picture). I don't know if they are still made.
And Tat2Guy, I'd be willing to loan you my grips as a template, if you think they might work. But you'd have to promise to give Eric a set to auction off in the future.

The Interarms Walther PPK/S and PP use the same grip. Unfortunately at this time we know of no manufacturer for the Walther PPK grips.
Looks like if its not a PPK/S your out of luck.
