My PPK is a jamomatic. I have had it for about 7 years now and ever since I got it, I have had major problems with FTF's. It does it with both of my mags which are original Walther aluminum mags. I thought it was because of JHP's but it even did it with hard balls.
I got the gun as a gift from my uncle when I graduated the Police Academy and started off carrying it as a BUG, but it was nothing but a hasstle to qualify with because of the FTF's and I ended up just sticking it in my safe and forgetting about it. I'd have to say it can't have much more than 500 rounds though it. It's the stainless model if that matters. I'd really like to be able to make the gun usefull but I just don't trust it. Anyone have any ideas?

Whats the feed ramp look like smooth, rough. Might need polishing Is you recoil spring on right? Tight end over barrel. Might want to order a new spring from wolff springs. what kind of ammo never saw one that really likes reloads,Do you keep well lubed. How often does it FTF I just tossing out ideas My PPK/S is also a stainless and is trouble free always has been.

I haven't had it appart in a while but I am sure the spring is on right. I'll double check that though. The FTF's seem to be every other round or so. It's VERY often. I was tried Winchester White Box, Speer Lawmen, Amercian Eagle and Hyrda Shocks. All of them jammed. The feed ramp seems to be smooth too. I just don't get it???:(
I would take it in to a gunsmith for them to clean and smooth it out

I'm gonna try to polish the feed ramp a little and see if that makes a difference. Has anyone else had problems with just hollow points in a PPK?
I run Federal Hydroshocks through mine just fine..

I use browning FMJ. Works great! Try a new clip also! Worn clips do make a ppk stove pipe.

"I haven't had it appart in a while but" quote Well how about we take it apart and really clean it first. then lets look at and feel the feed ramp maybe polish a little(back and forth not side to side) and make sure the recoil spring is on right.Might want to take your mag/mags apart and clean also. Those are main cause of not feeding If all them are fine should work.
Only other problem I can think of is good old limp wrist.
Sorry I have never owned any PP/PPK series that didn't work.

I took it all apart today and it was not really that dirty. I clean my guns after every shoot so I'm sure the last time I shot it, I cleaned it. The spring was on correct and the feed ramp seemed ok. I polished it anyway. It's like a mirror now and the guns seems to cycle a little better. I lubed it up really good and cycled the slide manually threw about three mags which would normally cause jams also. It seemed to cycle smooth the entire time. Maybe the polishing did the trick, I'll take it to the range tomorrow and we'll see for sure.

I hope so. I have stopped with the oil for carry and use gun grease instead Stays on better when carrying. Seems my PPK/S likes to be well lubed try for min. friction

*Had* a jamomatic too. Wolff +5 magazine springs, a good cleaning and a new stock (20 lb) Wolff recoil spring. No more problems... delightful gun to shoot! (P.S. The mag spings were in horrible shape!)

Well I put about 30 rounds through it today and not one jam. This is the first time in the 7 years that I have owned this gun that it didn't jam. I was never able to get through two mags of ammo without at least one or two jams and for that the gun was no fun to shoot. I actually enjoyed shooting it today. I guess maybe there was a burr on the feedramp or something? The gun is even pretty accurate for as small as it is. From 25 yards I had no problem maintaining center mass groups on a "Q" target. Thanks for all your help guys, I was getting ready to trade this thing in for something else, now I think I'll hold onto it.;f

BTW I used some GLOCK Glub on the slide rails. It's worked great. Just a dab and I cycled the slide about a dozen times.

Glad to hear it. I would still order a new factory stock recoil spring and mag springs. It's a older pistol and needs a present. So give it some new springs and some TLC.
Have You Kissed Your PPK Today ? ;f

anyone get marks in their hands from the rail? That gun really
seems to dig between my thumb and 1st finger. After 350 rounds
I have 2 plesant marks on my hands.
I have two little "vampire" marks between my thumb and forefinger area. Thats even on the new S & W version! Still love it - was just holding too high.

I used to get them when I first got the gun, but I put a simple Hogue wrap around grip on it and it made it a heck of allot easier to hold.

That pistol looks abused with that cast on it. You better send it to me for some TLC ;f
