Ordered a LMT 14.5" upper with pinned Phantom today. It's gonna go on my spare Bushy lower; got a KAC RAS on the way also.
I wish these damned things weren't so addicting. This is probably my 15th upper I've had. Maybe I'll be satisfied here and quit selling/trading them off.
I sold my "beater" rifle (Cav lower/Oly A1 upper) to fund the new project and I think I made a good choice. ;c
Congrats... I'd love a LMT upper...

You'll like the 14.5" I just picked up a colt LE carbine that had the KAC installed, it's the cats meow. It also came w/ lmt b/up sight and an ergro grip/magpul t/g. I picked the thing up for $900 on this board so there are good deals to be had. It's 100% colt w/ a colt m16 carrier too.
I have two LMT 16" uppers and am very pleased with the quality and range results. They are just as good as my Colts and the 1/7 twist is a bonus. Good choice.

$485 shipped w/ out the B/C/CH. They are doing free shipping right now and a free set of M4 handguards with your choice of color.
That's list price. Shop around.

Gee. Now I'M curious where you can get the LMT's for less than that. (Curse you USMC!) I'd like some day to reunite my PWA lower with a real LMT upper.

I saw them lower elsewhere, $425 plus shipping. But, they didn't include handguards and they had a standard A2 FH. I figurd the extra $60 I spent was no big deal. Plus, it was from a good company with a great guy with whom I've done business before -- Bravo Co.

I know BC very well. That's why I was wondering what "list" was and what it wasn't. Dickering over $50 or so isn't THAT big of a deal.
It's the fact that the bolt/carrier group is another $150 or whateveritis. Else I'd have an all-LMT gun.

I'm sitting here waiting on the UPS man. Damn him! Hurry up!
Doesn't really matter too much I guess. I can't shoot until later in the week and I still have other goodies I'm waiting for:
ARMS #40 BUIS
KAC RAS
KAC OD panels
ARMS #22M68 w/ cantilever
Aimpoint
Guess it'll be the weekend before this thing gets the hook-up!

What are you talking about?
USMCsilver - Sorry, I should have been more specific. One observable sign of LMT quality is the way they stake the bolt. CMT does it a little different as do others. Some manufacturers are hit and miss. If you compare the bolt of the LMT to any other one you will see a difference.

I love Bravo Company. He is one of the corporate sponsors at our site and has his own Q&A forum. Plus he is an active member in the discussions on the rest of the board.
Here is a good place to find Bravo Company

I got one of those LMT 14.5 uppers from Bravo myself. I have never seen a higher quality unit.
