They're nice!
The 91/30 is a 1939 Tula, and the SKS is unissued!
The FFL guy was so impressed that he's gonna order one for himself!
I can't find my digital camera, but I'll post pics later. Now I gotta do a search for the best way to get rid of all the cosmoline.

Congrats on your new rifles! ^c
Gasoline is the fastest cosmo-remover, but kerosene works OK and is safer. If you don't wish to use those, try spray-can carburetor cleaner or brake parts cleaner.

Boil the metal parts in a pot you don't care about..
My yugo had cosmo caked on the trigger assembly, and I wasn't about to tackle taking it apart. Boil, let dry, oil.
The mosin nagants are easier though, I can totally detail strip one in about 10 minutes. Removing the barrel bands for the first time can be a bear though.
Who did you order from?
And is the 91/30 a hex or round receiver?
Sorry I can't wait for pic's;a
I just ordered a hex Tula from Classic because the ex sniper I got was so "new" looking. The Hex is suppose to be even nicer.;f
i dunno why, but i have a soft spot in my heart for the hex receivers.

I got 'em from J&G. Mine's a round receiver. Pics already posted in another thread: http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=457746
good pics do you have a link to J&G?
The Yugo SKS Does it have holes drilled around the tip of the gernade launcher to act as a flash suppressor?
I got one from Clssic marked new unissued that way/For 10.00 more it was worth it.Where else could you get a flah suppressor for 10.00.

The holes are around the grenade launcher, but I didn't know they serve as a flash suppressor.
I plan to shoot the SKS and 91/30 tomorrow for the first time. Looking forward to it.
Those are great rifles! The Yugo rocks. I've got a late Russian Tula with all matching serials. I had a Yugo and sold it. Now I regret it and will just have to get one that's nicer and all matching parts. Yours looks great! And the Mosin too. I was just looking at a 91/30 the other day but the guy wanted $125 for it so I'm waiting for Saxet to come to town and see if I can find a cheap one there. Congratulations again on your purchase. Russian rifles kicK @$$.
