I have just purchased a M44 and was wanting to buy some extra parts for it. I was wondering if parts for the Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 are the same for the m44. I have looked for m44 parts but nothing shows up.Thanks for your help
the bolt, trigger and magazine parts are the same. the 91/30 had no bayo lug, it had a longer barrel and longer stock.
what are you looking for? i have a bunch of parts

The ammo on these things need replacing quite often.;f
Really they where made like a tank, the only parts I'd concern myself with would be the trigger/sear, the way they're built make them a little prone to problems.
the only thing i see break on any mosin is the extractor, for that very reason, im pretty much out of them. maybe one in 30 rifles has a broken one upon receipt
the other thing, but its not as common is a broken or missing leaf spring (the one with the microscopic screw) in the mag. thats maybe one in 100 rifles.
every now and then a sear/trigger or an ejector needs replacing, but thats less common than the other two, often times they can be repaired by careful polishing on the no longer squared engagement surfaces with a small file or dremel to restore the original edges.
the 1891's had a problem with the ejector spring/feed interrupter, since it was one piece if it got bumped or in any way misshapen, it took a lot of time to get it back to where it worked again. the russians and finns figured this out and replaced it with the 2 piece design that you will see on most rifles. if you have a 1891, you can replace the one piece part with a 2 piece one. it will work.
the only thing i keep for my mosins as spares personally is an extractor.
can ya tell i like mosins? :)
