I'm just wondering how many of us have uppers for their AR15 that are chambered in a rifle cartridge other than 5.56. Y'know, if you read some of the gun mags, there is a lot of talk about the 6.8 Grendel, .458 SOCOM, .50 Beowulf, etc.
And is this your primary upper? Do you have only it, or do you have an upper in 5.56 as well?

Isn't that 6.5 Grendel?
I'm thinking about ordering a Stag lower marked 6.8SPC to put away for a rainy day.
I'd totally rock 6.8 Rem. SPC if I wouldn't have to sell a child into slavery to afford the ammunition. It's rare as hell.

i'm also thinking about getting a 6.8 upper from E.F. and a Stag 6.8 lower....

Non 5.56 rifle uppers in .50 Beowulf and .22 Long Rifle
Yep a 6.8 would be a great addition but ammo is still $$ and hard to find. I saw the silver state site previous but hadn't heard much about them. So far it's one 5.56 upper and one lower awaiting probably a varmint upper.

I've been considering a 7.62x39mm upper to use on one of my existing lowers. Cheap blasting ammo for practice/plinking, and near .30-30 power lever for hunting medium game. If it turns out well, I could see getting another lower in the future, perhaps one that accepts AK mags, for the whole "Eastern bloc ammo in Western bloc weapon" combo. :)
Not thrilled with a hard-kicker in the AR platform, nor pistol calibers. Maybe a dedicated .22 upper sometime down the road...
