View Full Version : P2000 vs USPc
I'm considering each one--I fondled both at a shop, and the P2000 trigger feels a *hair* smoother than the USPc. I like the idea of an adjustable backstrap on the P2000, but I also like the idea of cocked and locked or just riding my right thumb on the safety/decocker of the USPc. Anybody have any input on which one I should go for, and why? Don't say get both; not an option! Either will be in 9mm. Thanks!
Oh, and what's this I read about USP/USPc frontstraps ripping up people's hands? Is this an issue in .40 guns? I don't see it happening in 9mm.

Both are excellent guns. Honestly, I'd just go back to the store and hold them again until you decide which one fits you the best. I prefer the DA/SA action of the USP, but that's personal preference.
One thing to note, though...I believe you can have the LEM trigger installed on the USP at a later date, if you decide to. I'd check for sure before buying, but it's something to consider if the different trigger will really influence your decision.

I've had both and like the P2000's feel better.
I picked up a P2000 SK with the LEM last week. I had all intentions of getting a P2000 or, if that didn't fit well, just get a G23, because I wanted a new CC gun with a rail. I was able to molest all and decided to get the SK because I got a good deal and because my grip seemed fine. I have medium-large hands and it felt better with the thin backstrap than the G23 on a quick grab.
I shot it this weekend and am truly happy with it. Once I find the right CC holster, it'll go on my side. If I wasn't going the sub-compact route I would have done the P2000 over the USP compact only because I like they way it feels in my hand.
Thanks for the replies, guys. I'll shoot a USPc soon at a range. I actually think I'm leaning towards the USPc.

Yeah for $80. I would have thought that HK would modify NIB guns for free or nominal cost.

look wise, I like the USPc better. Of course except the bobbed hammer.
