Double Tap 147 gr. Gold Dot JHP
1250 fps/4' bbl.

Shot just great.
Accuracy good!
Less recoil than 125 gr. GD JHP DT.

Shot 10 of 147; then 10 of 125.
Then repeated until 50 of each were done.

Used Sig 229.
Will post targets, if I can find them.
Darn cats.

P.S. Did not shoot 115s; not a weight I would order. YMMV

Hey G33, what is your reason behind not ordering the 115gr? Just curious.

If I want 115 gr. I can do that in a 9mm +P in my PM9 and its is small.
Just me.

The 147 gr. in Sig. gets up around the old wadcutter .357 mag. neighborhood.
I have wanted a bit more in the Sig since the early days when Hornady had theirs.

Does not mean it is right.
Just my thoughts.:)

The DT 125 is just a bit stiffer on recoil than the GD 125.

Just checking, Mike told me the 115gr would get 12" of penetration and stay together so with the increased speed and power it should prove to be a formidable load for defense against 2 legged critters. I am sure this round is going to rock the gel pretty good as well. I will post my results as soon as I get my order as well.

How bad is shipping on ammo ? I know some places want your arm and half a leg to ship small things.

I ordered 3 boxes at $22.50 which was $67.50 and I think the total was like $76.00 something and I am in MO.
