Took my new SKS and M91/30 to the range for some practice today.
These rifles are sweet!
I didn't fire the SKS from a rest, because it's not a "target rifle", and I was able to hold under 4" at 50 yards (not bad for as lousy a shot as I am, but I'll get better). This is with Silver Bear Soft Tip ammo.
I was able to keep the 91/30 in the same size group offhand. I fired two 5-shot groups from standing, and two from the bench. From the bench I was stacking the bulletholes (two 5-shot groups in under an inch), so I know the rifle is much more accurate than I am. This is with Czech ammo I got from J&G.
I'm very pleased with both these rifles. I don't even want to fire my MISR-90 anymore. I think I'm gonna sell it.
