I've got a "new" preban Bushy with an awful trigger. Well, it's actually pretty crisp - but VERY heavy.
I've been doing some preliminary thinkin about swapping out the JP Enterprise single-stage in one of my other AR's into this one, putting the stock trigger back in THAT AR and selling that lower.
Thinking battle-rifle/SHTF/etc., do you think a JP would be "sturdy" enuf for the job or is it too "match-y"? If too match-y - what other one would you suggest? There's just something wrong with this one. Overzealous springs or something.
Thanks folks!
I'm going to replace my wife's BM trigger with one of these. The RRA trigger is well repected as is, hopefully this improved version will be perfect. I personally wouldn't use any ultra light match trigger in a AR. It's hard to transition from a 5 lb Glock trigger to a 2 lb rifle trigger and back without caution, especially with cold hands.

contact Bill Springfield who's a member over on ar15.com and does plenty of ar stock trigger work. He's running a Nov special now at $20-22 bucks per trigger assembly providing "smooth as butter trigger pull down to the 3.75-4 lb range. you may contact him
@ wspringfield@adelphia.net . he offers a money back guarantee if you dont like the finished prouduct. Im sending 2 more in this week!
Beats spending 100+ on a aftermarket set-up!!

I've been toyin with doing that for a day or three.
I got to the range on Tuesday with this gun. AWWWFFF!!!! YUCK!!!! Man that trigger was bad.
But after about 200-300 dryfires at home and 100+ rounds of whatever that day, it isn't THAT bad.
I may still have it done - just to see how well it goes. If it's nice, I'll ship off the PWA triggergroup too. Just to have 2 relatively close in pull.
Man was my grouping all over at first. I was turning blue trying to get the trigger to break. A few times I had to stop and re-control my breathing. But last night while fiddling with said-gun, it felt pretty good.
I still may dump that A2 lower with teh JP in it. At this point, it's in the way. 2 pre-ban-config'd guns versus the 1 post-ban config'd gun. If I get the triggers worked on, I won't need a JP anymore.
Also ready to pull the trigger on one VLTOR stock to try out. Figger it's a bit cheaper than a Magpul and a little lighter as well.

For a single stage, the DPMS is quite nice actually, I've found.
You could get one of those along with an entire LPK for less than $50.
Or you could spend $80+ on a decent two stage.
I've got a RRA 2 stage in my Bushie and love it. I was also thinking abt trying the 22.00 trigger work on Ar15.com for a different rifle.

My AR has a Jard trigger (http://www.jardinc.com/) with a single stage pull down to about 2.5lbs. I may try a Chip McCormick drop in trigger but if I never used anything but Jard for the rest of my life I'd be a very happy shooter.
They're a PITA to install properly, even if you follow the destructions. I had an experienced AR tuner do mine and it's the best trigger I've ever felt.
