I was told by someone who actually went and bought it at their store in Indiana. Theire website seems to be down. I'm just wondering what do you guys think of this price? I was told the exact model is RFA3-14P.

Not bad, but it may not have chrome lining. In that case, I think I'd rather buy two Stag halves from here.

My 16" stag upper is so sweet I want a 20" Stag. Just wish they made the barrels 1 in 7.

http://www.eaglefirearms.net/stag_arms.htm Why are the Stag stripped lower receivers so cheap?
I bought DPMS SLR's before for $100, and they were excellent quality. How would you compare the Stag's to others?
At the price of $80 for 3, I might have to buy 3!!

They have done some limited 1/7 runs, in fact, they've done some in 4150 steel and MP tested.

I have a DPMS lower as well as a Stag lower. I'd say the difference is negligible, they are both excellent quality. They both make excellent LPK's too.

IMHO, a chrome lined bore is over-rated. With people like ADCO out there, well, let's just say that if I ever outshoot a barrel, it would be quite simple to send it off and get it replaced a decade (or two) down the road.

Yeah, but the chrome lining has more advantages than just longevity.
-Increased reliability (feeds and ejects better with the slicker bore/chamber). Remember, the fact that the .223/5.56 cartridge is not tapered (as opposed to the 7.62x39) means that the case makes contact with the wall of the chamber the entire time it's in the chamber, increasing friction and also the possibility of a hangup of some sort.
-easier to clean
Battle/assault rifles were just meant to have chrome bores.
