Has anyone converted the G-35 to a 9mm?

How did it work?

How well did it cycle with store bought 9mm ammo?

What are the draw backs to doing this conversion?

Any advantages over the G34?

Thank you experienced long-sliders very much for your help!!!

I have used a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel and it worked just fine. Only had to use 9mm magazines.

Did not have to change extractor or ejector, the .40 parts worked just fine for 9mm.

No real advantages over the G34, however the only disadvantage is that with the conversion barrel the gun is not considered stock, so you may not be able to use in certain classes of certain competitions such as GSSF.

I have recently converted my g35 to 9mm with a g24 kkm 9mm conversion barrel. Shortened the barrel and threaded 1/2x28 for my evo9. I am hoping that the extra couple ounces of slide weight keep the chamber closed a bit longer so that the pressure / noise drops.

9mm seems to run just fine with the stock 40 parts as long as you have good magazines.

I would think that the best thing would to be to have a g34 and a g35, next best to have a full size frame with g34 and g35 uppers, then a g35 with a 9mm conversion barrel, and lastly just a g34 as I think that the 9mm is more fun than the 40. Just depends on how much you have to spend, but dont try to cut corners with one of the crappy FAC conversion barrels, those are junk.

used a stormlake 9mm conversion barrel,
it has been very good.
I actually like it better, the stormlake barrel has a thicker contour of a 9mmbarrel,it also fits the slide a little tighter.
the gun has been 100%and very accurate.
