View Full Version : G32
after looking a few different glocks, i am SERIOSULY thinking about this one.. i wanted the subcompact originally and all but the compact will be fine for concealed carry too PLUS i get more ammo.. i really like the G32 and think that the .357 will be good and possibly better than the .40 after talking to a few people... the .357 evidentally has more speed behind it and from ballistics charts graciously given by a fella glocker on here, i am in the belief that the .357 does just as much if NOT MORE damage than the .40 caliber. for some reason, i like bullets that travel faster than 1000 fps.... ;Q hehe.
if anyone has anything to persuade me further or to lean me back towards the .40 (G27 sub) please leave a message here. thanks!
I say go for it. The Glock is a fine weapon in any caliber and that one is at the top of the list in my opinion. If you use the DT ammo line to maximize the caliber nothing short of a 10mm comes close. That weapon also provides a lot of firepower in a small package and is still very easy to CCW. Good Luck!
I think the mid size in either the 23 or the 32 is the ideal combination of size / power in the Glock line. Either is fine ( but get a 32, you'll get a bigger "kick" out of the 357 ) - and the other caliber is only a barrel swap away!
Yes, go with the 32, you'll have no regrets. Recoil is controlable, and they are very accurate. If you like the .40 also, as has been mentioned, all you need is a G23 barrel and to convert the 32 to shoot .40 S&W .
Check some of the other G32 posts on this site. I agree that Double Tap .357's and the G32 are an awesome combo that has kept me from carrying anything else except sometimes my G17 that has DT 9MM 147-grains in it- but the compactness of the G32 is the trump card for me. Think of it as a magnumized G19, which is one of the most popular Glocks. I have a Sig 229 .357 but it is heavier and I shoot with with the Glocks so much that the SIG is more of a range gun for me and I find myself carrying the Glock much more often.
Just picked up a G32 today, myself. Going to the range tomorrow for a little break-in with 200+ rds of factory ammo. Ought to be a good day!
My decision was based mostly on the size/power compromise (and because I already own a G27 with G33 barrel in it).
Just back from the range, about 300rnds lighter. The 32 took everything I could load in the mags (3 32 mags and 5 23 mags) with only a few hiccups on the S&B 140gr crap. White box Win, Federal 125 JHP, DoubleTap 125 gold dots, and my own handloads all went great. I'm much more accurate with this than with my 27/33, some of which is attributed to ergonomics, and the extra smidge of barrel/slide probably doesn't hurt (in terms of sight relationship).
No doubt this is my favorite Glock (and I've shot/carried a few since 1988).
