View Full Version : grip size
Was looking for new grips, and was looking at the 'cosmetic seconds', etc on the HogueAuction site.
My 1911 is a Kimber Combat Carry. Is this considered an 'officers model', or will the regular full-size grips fit? ? ?

Was this a custom shop gun that is the same pistol as the Compact CDP II Kimber produces now?
Like this one:

If so, than the Officers Model grips are the one that you need. If it was like the CDP Pro, than it has a full length grip frame and you would need Government Model grips.
However, if I remember correctly, the Combat Carry had a compact frame.
I know there is nothing to compare it to in this picture. I guess I'll just measure it when I get home.
