questions about para 1911's

There's a local guy here wanting to trade his para ordinance p12 45 hi cap. Comes with night sights and houge grips, 2 12 round factory mags and 2 more after market 12 rounds mags. The trade is for my sig sauer p229 chambered in the 40 S&W round. Comes with the case cable lock factory sights and 2 10 round mags. My question is... is the para p12 45 a good gun? accurate reliable and good for ccw? any info would help thanks.

I know some Para Hi-Caps have mag issues where reliability is spotty. My Para Tac-Four had this issue. I got rid of it. Other than that, nice gun and shot very nice (when the mags did right).

Also consider the weight of a hi-cap 1911. Once you load it to the max, it's pretty heavy for ccw.
