some mods for the trigger are to unscrew the sear/trigger spring and place a thin (re .026") brass shim stock and reassemble. This should lighten the pull by at least a couple of pounds. BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUT TO MUCH UNDER THERE AS THIS MIGHT CAUSE THE RIFLE TO DISCHARGE AT THE SLIGHTEST BREEZE!!!! also you might take some 400 grit sandpaper and LIGHTLY sand all areas of friction. Google up a search on mosin nagant trigger job or m44 accurizing(sp?) and see what you can find.
and no my standard disclamer:
I am in no way a gunsmith, milsurp guru, or any kind of expert on modifications. I do not and will not ever claim to be. Use of this info is AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!
hope this info helps a little
