click here to see what I'm talking about (http://powersports.honda.com/the_goods/parts_and_service/detail.asp?ProductGroup=Assembly+%26+Repair&PartId=08734-0001&PartValue=Moly+60+Paste&TheGoodsDir=2)
From what I've read, moly grease should be used on the barrel nut during assembly of the rifle. The stuff I read on AR15.com said you can find the stuff at auto parts stores. Last night, I bought some Valvoline (moly fortified multi-purpose grease) (http://www.valvoline.com/pages/products/product_detail.asp?product=68). When I got home, I noticed that it's only good up to 400F. I doubt the Valvoline grease has more than 5% moly. I looked around the store for about 30 minutes, but I didn't find anything better than the Valvoline.
After doing some surfing, I found out that local honda motorcycle dealers sell 60% moly grease. It claims to work on moving parts up to 750F and stationary parts up to 1500F.
