View Full Version : Customer Service: H&K versus Sig
I'm on the fence between a Sig P239 and an H&K P2000. All other things being equal (and of course they aren't), my decision is coming down to which company treats its customers best and stands steadfastly behind its products.
I may be criticized for placing too much emphasis on this, but it is important to me. Can those with experience with Sig, H&K, or ideally, both please chime in with their experiences. I appreciate your time.
Take Care,
Mark

I've called each one time and had similar pleasant experiences with both. If you look at historical posts regarding your subject, you'll no doubt come to the conclusion that HK's CS is woefully behind that of Sig's.
I had to send my USP back to HK at around 10,000 rounds due to a broken extractor. All it took was a call and they had it fixed and back to me one week to the day that I sent it out. I have no complaints about HK customer service. They fixed it and got me my gun back quickly.
P.S. the extractor claw chipped during a 2 day class while shooting over 1,000 rounds and only had 1 failure to extract.
I've used HK's service department a few times (I have 5 HK's). I have been satisfied every time.
One common complaint about HK is that it does not sell parts to consumers. This is true. (Sig does. I just ordered an extractor.) However, HK parts can be purchased on line.
I would not choose a Sig over an HK (or vice versa) based on customer service. I'd pick the gun I liked better. I have a P239 and a P2000. Both are excellent guns. For concealed carry, I'd pick the P239 because it is a little smaller.
