White Trades on Glock Slide?

i just got my glock 22!!!
i am a LEO in Texas and just got hired on.

i would like to do/have some work done to my glock, and i got it all figured out i think, but the slide.

i played airsoft for many years and had some airsoft glocks. and the engraving on the slides were all "whited out"

and i was thinking of doing this to my real glock.

Brownell's carries lacquer sticks that are perfect for this. Really stays on once hardend and doesn't discolor or pick up grit, etc. Some has been on well used guns for over 5 yrs. and the white is still brite as the paint on the best steel dot-front sights. Great stuff!

Many people swear by the Crayolas. I've only tried/used the white but the color options are endless........

just an update, i used the crayon from brownells, and now i have down at least 6 other guns from people in my department. i love it! gonna do my AR once i get it, but thats a WHOLE nother story. ;-)
