OK guys tell me why the HK is $200 better than a Glock.
I NEED reasons to justify the price difference.
Please give me a reason!
Thanks

Germany>Austria just kidding. ;f
In all seriousness, it depends on what you like/want. For me, I want a manual safety. HK USP has it, Glock doesn't. For me the grip angle of the HKs fits me naturally... Glocks point high.
I highly doubt anyone will fault you for choosing to own/carry/shoot either of them. Best thing you can do is get the one that fits your hand the best and you shoot the best. If all is equal, then your wallet will help you decide.

shoot them side by side, and you'll see. the hk has tighter tolerances, i like the grip angle better. i like the trigger better. my hk's have never jammed, my g32 did. my hk's have never had a failed part, my g32 broke a slide lock spring.
also, you have more options. the usp series allows many variants to accomodate left and right handers, trigger preferences and so on. the p2000 series does as well.

Was your HK a 357? If so how did it shoot compared to the G32?

after i sold my g32, i went all .45acp. i have the uspc .45, usp tactical .45 and the mark 23 in .45
i considred a uspc in .357sig, because that is a fun round to shoot, but it can be harder to find ammo, and always costs more. i'm sure the .357sig uspc would be much like shooting my .45 in respect to the way it fits my hand and points.
glocks just feel cheap to me after firing HK's.

For me, mainly, is the ergonomic issue.
1911 have spoiled me so much that I can't shoot glock, and with the size of my handand high-grip forward-thump style, my right hand thump would rest exactly on top of the slide release makes it not lock open when last round is fired. Grip angle is way off from what we know as neutral, but lots of people are fine dealling with this issue.
Second, subjective, but also as important as any other reason, ..the look, also the feel, the quality of materials, thoughts, engineering, ..etc
These two gun makers will be compared for the rest of our life anyway, so, shoot both is the best way to tell. A hundred told will never equal one try.

I have owned both, but prefer the HK. As mentioned previously, the grip angle is what sold me. I'm sure some of the price difference is in the name, but you also get the safety/de-cocker/variant capabilities with the HK. Mags are also a bit more expensive for the HK. If you want a 9mm and don't mind a stainless slide, CDNN has the last of them on sale for $599. I bought one about 6 months ago and couldn't be more impressed.

I own H&K USP compact .45 stainless, H&K USP Tactical .45
also have a GLOCK20. IMO, I would go with GLOCK. It gets right down to the point, no safetys to fiddle with (its all in the users responsible finger)and I dislike hammers and the different first shot DAO. GLOCK is brave to offer an array of calibers, while H&K only rides the boat of popularity when it comes to their calibers, which is fine, however they desperately need a 10mm USP with a super high capacity if they want a fine tactical pistol. --IMO--
I own both, so I reserve the right to comment on both ;)
i own hk and glocks
glocks are very good pistols,
but in my opinion the hk is a better product.
here are my opinions
fit and finish
-hk
sights
-hk(not cheap plastic sights,i have seen the front sight on some of my glocks wiggle)
texture of receiver
-hk(had to put grip tape on all my glocks)
trigger
-hk (all my glocks have had trigger jobs,hk has a match trigger stock)
accuracy
-tie
reliablity
-tie
supported chamber
-hk
resale value
-hk
after market parts
-glock
thats my story and i am sticking to it.

Thanks great info. Wife and I were gun shopping today and we both looked at the SK. Very nice. Wife will probably get it, Im trying to justify paying 300 more than a P99C.
