I have a Colt AR-15A2 HBAR Sporter in .223 with [probably less than 500 rounds through it. I'm thinking about selling the top end for a Bushy 24" varmint flat top to put on my receiver. What would the top end be worth or should I sell it as a complete unit? Would breaking up the upper and lower be a bad idea money wise? Might go to the show tomorrow.

I have an HBAR similar to yours and its an excellent rifle. I wouldn't expect much difference in performance between your current 20 inch barrel and the 24 inch varmiter barrel.

Personally, I think your money would be better spent in good optics than an new upper.
