Will 147 gn ammo function reliably in a P7M8? I heard the gun was designed around the 124 gn bullet. So far I've only fired the 115 gn bullets and I haven't had any problems. I want to start carrying this as my ccw off-duty but our duty ammo is a 147 gn bullet. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks
Also could you recommend a good belt holster for this gun.
Even though it's a 4" barrel, it is fluted, gas retard system. Therefore, your bullet velocity will drop quite a bit. Using hotter load is an ideal, IMO.
As for the holster, I'm using kal-tech IWB, very high quality, very comfortable, durable, made by order, and you'll get yours within 5-7 days!

My duty ammo is 147 also...the Ranger RA9T...it doesn't lose much velocity in the P7 and will expand, but you should test it to see if it is reliable...I had last round feed problems with it so I have to carry a few FMJs as my last rounds...for some strange reason, the last round will jam on the hood of the barrel....it seems as if the round is already pointing up by the time it moves up the mag....can't figure this one out for the life of me...
holsters are a no brainer for the P7 Alessi and Delfatti...here is my CQC/S...best OWB made...

Delfati...drooool...
That's a end all holster, absolutely. Isn't the price of the holster that kills me, it's the wait..
Nice rig! ^c

Hi Newbie!
My 9mm duty round (and off-duty for that matter) is also the 147gr. Ranger T. I have not experienced any malfunctions with this round in my P7M8 Jubilee.
Delfatti makes great holsters. I have an OWB that is great. FIST makes some good holsters too...I have a leather IWB and it's very nicely made.
I have to say though (and someone here will not be happy with me) that my new Comp-Tac Gurkha holster is the most concealable and comfortable IWB holster I have ever used for the P7... I LOVE it! (I have not used any Delfatti IWB holsters and I have heard very good things about them.)
It is Kydex and many will not like it but it works for me.
(Yes, my Jubilee has some wear on the forward edges...and more to come! I know it makes some people cry but I like the character!)
My first of three P7s ate nothing but 147-grain bullets and digested them with no issues whatsoever. I wouldn't want to carry it as a defense load, but I wouldn't want to get hit with one either! My last P7 (which I no longer have) was only loaded with Federal 9BPLE 115-grain +p+ for carry.

Chico...glad to see you are shooting your Jubilee...after all. it's just an M8 with wood grips and some funny writing on the slide...and if the gurkha works for you....great....I like leather only but is more of a fetish thing for me.....
