I would try Brownells Acruglas gel, with some black dye mixed in. Rough up the surface and clean well before applying. File and sand to shape. While you're at it, you could re-finish with bedliner material to texture the grip. Any unwanted checkering and such can also be filled in with the acruglas, sanded to shape, and re-textured. Hey, I think I'm gonna do my own Glock that way.
