View Full Version : Ammo - the elephants graveyard of 357 sig rounds??
I noticed that The Ammo Bank - http://www.ammobank.com/
has ( or had )most of the 357 sig rounds that are no longer produced:
The Triton Loads, the 150 gr Federal load, the Remington Golden Saber bonded. Until just recently they had the Blazer loads. I think they've been out of Proload for a while.
Anyone still have these examples still inyour ammo bank???

I have a couple of 50-round boxes of the Fed 150 grain load. It shot pretty well, but when I chrono'd it, it wasn't very fast. The Hornady 147s beat it by over 100 FPS, IIRC.
I think the 125 grain loads (or close) are the best choice, anyway. I just wanted to try everything that was available when I first got my G32C.
Still using Pro Load here. When I run out, Double Tap will replace it.
I have used up all the old stuff.
Still have some Speer.
But Double Tap 125 and 147 are working for me.

Think .357 Sig has NOT CAUGHT on like sig wished it had...:(
akapennypincher,
If you look here:
http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=459476
you'll see there are still over 40 loadings available. And Triton only stopped making the load because the whole company went under...
DJ Niner & Neal,
wondering how much aggravation it would be for you to mail me an empty box after you've shot up all the rounds. I think I would like to start a collection and need to get hold of these "out of print" boxes. Send me an e-mail if you're willing....
