This is my new 1911. Here is a picture for you all to enjoy. I can't wait to shoot it. I am not big on modifying guns, but I thin I want a magwell. Being that this is my first 1911 where can I get a stainless steel mag well and how difficult is it to install?

To eaches own but I don't think a stainless magwell is going to look good with that pretty matte finish you've got. Plus even these so called drop in magwells usually have to be blended and hand fitted.

Nice gun man. I got the same gun as my first 1911 just a couple weeks ago. I LOVE that gun!!! I have only gotten to put a couple hundred rounds through it but have had ZERO problems and it shoots very well.
You might want to shoot it awhile before you decide on a magwell. Although I think it would aid in faster reloads I'm just not sure it's worth the extra length and trouble.....
Just my opinion, and it's worth what you paid for it........

I like the magwell too, just for looks. But, get a black one, otherwise it won't look right.
Usually, U need a smith to do the job right...
Dang, jest had another organism. ;f I especially like those lighter-than-usual grips. If I remember, the Smith and Wesson has a chamfered magazine well doesn't it? Not a fan of the big funnels on the bottom of the gun, but I concur that if you must, get a blued one. ;e
Very nice pistol, mi amigo.

sweet!
nothing sexier than a new 1911
the only thing i did not like about mine was the flat mainspring housing so I swapped it with an arched GI version (and a new mainspring after I screwed up the factory one!) the old school grips are to be replaced one day

Another beauty. Is that Commander-size or are my eyes just gettin' tired? ;e

4-1/4" barrel, I guess that's a commander but I'm not sure

A couple of seconds with a sharpie would make it stand out way less than it does now.

I wonder if some matti clean or citrus solvent would take that white lettering off without messing up the blueing?

I don't mind lawyer talk stuff, that's how I make money to buy all these guns.

OUSooner, unfortunately the lettering on the frame is engraved, not printed on. I am going to try the sharpie route to see how it works. Although the lettering doesn't bother me as much as some, I wouldn't mind a cleaner look.
