Is there a recommended Gunsmith in DFW area? For additions to a Colt Commander? Beavertail, Extended Saftey, etc. . .

Question asked referred to a DFW area gunsmith. Sugarland is a suburb of Houston, which is a 4-5 hour drive from the DFW metroplex. Teddy's reputation is super, but even though I have access to airplanes I wouldn't consider Sugarland the DFW area.
Ken Crawley of Crawley Custom is in Kemp, about a 45 minute drive south from Dallas. He appears at many of the gunshows in the area.
He is considered a good gunsmith by the vendors at local gunshows and I've had a ton of work on my 1911s done by him. Knows his stuff.
There's a gun shop in Plano (northside of Dallas) - sorry, can't remember the name off the top of my cranial dome - that has a gunsmith who has a good reputation also.
Hope this helps.

I know where Sugarland is, and a 3-4 hour Drive is no big deal for the quality of Teddies Action work...
You may want to consider Caylor Custom Guns. He is located about45 minutes north of Dallas in Anna, TX. Caylor is usually at the local IPSC matches. If you would like someone closer, you may want to call on Ray's Sporting Goods over on Singleton in Dallas. Dick Lewis is the smith there and does great work with a short turn around.
Big John at Elk Castle...
I-30 W near Cherry Lane in Fort Worth
He's done work on 2 of my 10mm Colts, and a couple of rifles...nothing but good stuff.
Dave Berryhill, of Berryhill guns has opened shop in Van Alstyne (N up 75 a little).
