New HK pistol that is apparently being showcased at the military/police fair in Paris. Note the replacement grip panels to the right of the gun. Im trying to post the pic. There is a pic on the sigforum and hkpro.
You can find a picture at the link below.

I wish HK would bring out the P2000 in .357SIG before starting a new line.
From the picture however, the P3000 is a P2000 with a new styled frame.
Looks like another version of the USP. Not saying that's bad or anything. They're solid guns.
Anybody else see the irony in having a military/police fair in Paris?
"I must get one!"
Look much sexier than P2000, but wish it doesn't have grip finger groves, though.
Thanks for sharing!

I fully agree that they should make a fullsize USP and the P2000 in 357sig before expanding into new territories, but if they chamber the P3000 in it all will be forgiven. Heres another link for those who have photo bucket troubles. PGH~

A P2000 in .45ACP would be a huge hit.....

I don't see anything with the P3000 that I like better than my P2000US. I won't wait for it. My next HK's will be a P2000SK LEM in .40SW and a USP Compact in .45ACP.
Did you hear about the French Army Knife? They may have had one at the show. It has only two tools on it - a corkscrew and a little white flag.

Im curious how anyone can tell at this point what it has to offer over the P-2000. Apart from exernal looks the inside could be much improved or different if nothing else. PGH~

The "external looks" is what I am talking about. It appears larger than the P2000. The well defined finger grooves are in my mind a step backwards. I don't use the equipment rail so I don't care about that too much. I am betting that the guts and the operating variants are pretty much the same. This one looks like a LEM. My P2000 LEM cycles reliably and is accurate. I can't imagine what they would "much improve". First glance and first comments. Subject to modification with more info? Of course. - Lee

Especially if it accepts USP mags!

I like it!! I'd love to have one though I am anxious to see what the HK45 project for the new DoD sidearm looks like... I have to wonder if this is not the 9mm version of it. :whoknows:
Man o man, that is a good looking blaster. That may have to be on the list as soon as they bring it here. I looked at the HK45 and think that is an awesome looking weapon as well. Any news on what we could expect some of these recent developments to hit the USA?

I like the looks of the 3000, but I am waiting for another .45 from HK more than anything. If the 3k is chambered for .45, I'll be a happy camper.

The above picture is what appears to be the P3k version of a 45. The model above is supposedly the one that is being submitted for the JCP that they United States Military is looking at in 45ACP. Looks great to me.
I cant get the link to show. I have to sign up for something. Please post a pic if possible.

Who knows?:) HK seems to be really hush hush about everything they do. If you read soem of the post at HKpro there is aposter named frederick who seemed to have the best insider information. He seems to be well connected in some way or another. He was at the show in Paris. Some people sayt hat more information should be available at the SHOT show.

"Rumor" has it on the HKpro boards that the release date is in May, however I don't know if thats for Europe, America, or both.
That would be awesome, but, have they ever released their product the same time between Euro and US?

Lol I know right, well if nothing else we can hope for "official info" at the 2006 shot show. My bet is thats where they will let us know about the pistol. The release is another story, I just hope its not like the P2000 that took 2 years after the introduction to actually be released. PGH~

I think it is just a Fullsize P2000. Perhaps they will all have the ability to change mags.
P3000 = Glock 17/22
P2000 = Glock 19/23
P2000sk = Glock 26/27
Perhaps the P2000sk will be renamed the P1000?
They should just call the P3000 the P2000FS.
Anyone got an idea about the release date?
From what I heard, the P3000 will use the same mags as the full size USP .45.

Before I let out an emphatic "woo-hoo!", where did you hear this?
Hopefully they slimmed the thing down since HK decided to make their P2000 just about the widest polymer pistol on the market.
I have read that it will not be avilable to the US market and is for the Europeans only.
