It gives you options in a defensive situation, or it may just be that you need some of that stuff at your job. For example I work in construction and I use my knives/flashlight everyday, which also happens to be in my everyday defensive carry.

I carry my G19 normally (G37 for a change every now and then, or my G26 for complete concealability) in a Don Hume IWB, or on the belt with Don Hume or Fobus. 3 15-rounders of 124gr Gold-Dot HPs in the G19. In the G26, just 2 10-rounders of Gold-Dot HPs. In the G37, 3 10-rounders of 200gr Gold-Dot HPs.

I always have my Surefire G2 with extra bulb and batteries. Sometimes I carry around my Insight Technology M3 Tactical Illuminator if I'm out at night.

Sometimes I carry around my extendable baton, but not all the time.

Occasionaly if I really need backup, I have my Immediate Response Kit with an extra 2 magazines and sometimes another pistol (1911 Commander). Kit has another knife, lightsticks, lighter, small first aid kit, and misc. gear. Also, have the shotgun in trunk at all times. Loaded with 00 Buck or 4 Buck; 1-3 inch Slug, 2-Tactical Slugs and 00 Buck on sidesaddle and buttcuff.
