I just finished "Generation Kill" by Evan Wright, an embedded journalist in Iraq. The book chronicles the Marine First Recon's experiences during the initial invasion from Kuwait of the current Iraqi conflict.
While there are some technical errors it's still a very compelling read.

I am reading it right now. I'm around Chapter 8. While some parts I yawn about there are some parts where I am busting out with laughter! So far so good.

I thought it was a pretty good book and would recommend it.

Great book, finished it last week. Those who liked it might also like "Roberts Ridge" by Malcolm McPherson, which details the botched exfiltration of Navy SEAL Neil Roberts who fell out of a Chinook. The guys that went to get him, Rangers and AF CCTs, also crashed. An incredible tale of bravery.....amazing stuff that makes me that much prouder to be an American.
