Respect.

Glockman1000, I guess this is as good a time as any to inform you that I am your long, lost son. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better, dad! ;)

Nice starter collection. Just think how it will grow when you've been at it for a few months.

wow, can I have one?
Arsenal RPK 7 in 7.62x39, would round it out nicely. Gee I wonder where you could find a serial #4 out of the 300 they made??? Hmmm... I might just have one around here somewhere for $1850 ;f
Thank you! I was just trying to convince myself I had too many guns, now I need to start looking for some more :-)
Awesome collection!

you add a High Standard Victor or Trophy 22LR (Hamden) and a Colt Woodsman Match Target. Otherwise, very nice collection!

Ok, so, now that I have a starting point...something to compare my future collection to, I must ask, where/how do you store all of these? I just bought a house(basement needs redone) and am seriously considering having them pour a vault in one quarter of the space available...perhaps half...Anyways, I'd seal it up nicely, keep it dry and look into getting some kind of reinforced ceiling in it and make a vault door for it(welder/fabricator). I see myself growing out of a 40 gun safe in the next few years...and for what a nice 40 or so gun safe costs, I can buy so much concrete, since it needs done anyways, a few thousand spent as such seems to be a good investment so far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for all the replies.
Here’s some pic’s of my safe, they are a few months old and a few more have been added to it since, I will be adding another safe soon, as of now I’m having to use my old childhood gun cabinet to store some of the rifles of lesser value mainly 22’s.

They look like bobbins to me. (The little wooden spools sewing thread comes on.)
I was wondering too, because I'm struggling with a way to mount handguns to the door of my safe.

For the handguns on the door I used a type of spool pegs, I bought most of them years ago from an arts and crafts store, at the time they came in a little plastic bag with 12 or so per bag and they didn’t cost much, the last time I went to buy a few more and they came in a little bag of 3 for $0.99.

My safe has a backing plate behind the fire liner on the door so pegs can be screwed in (there was even a factory peg kit but I didn’t like them), the pegs are spaced for each handgun, I used washers behind some to space them out as needed with certain handguns and on a few I cut the lip of the spool off in some places to clear the front of the trigger guard, each handgun has to be lifted up from the muzzle then pulled out.
Some of the handguns have been on the door for 8 years and I have yet to have any problems with wear on the pistols or have any fall off, they fit very solid.

________
The handgun rack on the top shelf is also homemade, It took about two hours to build from two 4’ long x 4” wide boards.
I wanted it to be a wide as the interior of my safe would allow (28” wide), I then did the math on how many I handguns I could put in the rack evenly spaced without them being to close together.
