I have a 2nd Generation G19

...and I've been hearing about some type of "upgrade". Do I need to send my pistol back to Glock? What is involved in the upgrade?

I highly doubt you will need the upgrade. Its basicly some internal parts. Best way to tell is...if the internal parts are black, send it back, if they are in the white...your alright.

I had this same situation with a 2nd Generation Glock 19 from a Gun Show. You will need to overnight ship it to Glock in Smyrna, GA via either UPS or FEDEX. NOTE: Take it to the main service center as the UPS Store Ect. will not be able to do it. I sugest you phone Glock first. I got mine back in about 10 days and even though it was what I would consider "usable", it is now like a brand new gun! Easily worth the $25 I spent to send it to Glock! They also sent it back in a nice plastic pistol case!
