PP surplus .32 problem

After owning many PP/PPK/PPKS/TPH's etc I have a problem that has me at a loss. Half way through the FIRST box of standard vel. 32 ammo my surplus German PP broke it's trigger guard pin in half. That is the hinge pivot pin on which the trigger guard pulls down during disassembly.

No problem; I figured it was a defective part and easily replaced at GPC. Since they were cheap I bought two in case one fell into the land of lost gun parts under my bench where firing pin springs go. The replacement broke again and the next broke too. Now I am on my fourth pin. The part takes some battering during the firing cycle but each of mine breaks at about every 20 rounds. No other similarly designed Walther has done this to me. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

Pin is weakest link. Damage is being done else where Look real close at stripped pistol Trigger guard mis aligned, Slide hitting top of trigger guard Their something I belive acting on trigger guard, causing pin to break.
Now Iam not a gunsmith and have never played one on TV or Movies. So I just takeing a guess

Well, the pin takes a strike on each shot. It is a very thin rod. Pulling down the trigger guard puts stress on it. Even inserting a magazine pushes on it.

I don't think the trigger guard will go in misaligned. Even if the slide hits the trigger guard "tab" the design is such as to keep the stress in front rather than in the rear where the pin is located.

Having a trigger guard fall off at the shooting range is an embarrassment I have suffered three times. Each time the broken pin pieces fell in the palm on my support hand. Odd.
