hey guys... do you also get stares when you carry clutch bags? Regardless of whether I actually carry my gun in it or not, people seem to automatically suspect that what's inside is a gun already. Am i pranning? haha or u guys got similar experiences? ;b

My 2 cents Boytigas : people will think na pera or bommer ang laman ng clutch bag mo so you get the stares, my dad use to carry clutch bag and get the strares also . if you have a pistol in your bag mas effective siguro kung sa waist mo na lang Sir i-conceal, pag na snatch yan wala ka ng pang defence nawalan ka pa ng bag.

Tama ka BoyTigas, ako mismo when I used to work sa PBDionisio nuong 1994 kapag nakakita akong middle-aged guy na mukhang corporate executive or businessman type na may yakap na clutchbag almost 99% of the time may dalang pistol or revolver when I asked them anong may permit na handgun nila. Bayaw ko nga na proprietor ng furniture factory sa clutchbag niya dala ang Colt.45 pistol niya along with everything else he carries before I gave him a shoulder bag with built in holster & magz pouch para mas organized ang carry niya.

I once taught the children of (a former president.)

All the bodyguards carried fairly small clutch bags. They walked around the perimeter of wherever we were every half-hour.

The other reason you might be getting stares is...ah...there is one other group of people who tend to carry cute little clutch bags.

hmmm I doubt that it's because my clutch bag's incredible cute hehe baka nga mashadong seryoso yung dating.. baka hindi na nila akalain na may glock if theres a hello kitty patch outside:) but yeah, as much as possible I carry IWB, but there are just some shirts, especially the white ones which will make the butt print no matter how I hide it;b

its a 1.5lb. trigger w/ all the stops pulled out....that means my plunger safety and trigger safety are non-functional already and the drop safety is like 50% functional, trigger travel is like 5mm, but all the sacrifices are worth it....it is one sweet trigger;f i wouldnt recomend it to a carry gun though;)

Thats right. Clutch bags do attract stares.

Pag naka americana ako, akala nila limpaklimpak na salapi ang laman.

Pag naka casual elegant ako, akala nila balil anf laman.

Pag naka rugged ako, baka nga akala nila bomba ang laman!

question po...

does it say by law, that we do have to carry in a clutch bag?

im looking at my ptc card right now, i dont see any stipulation saying that it has to be in a clutch bag or body bag of some type.
i agree, wat if your bag is snatched? there goes your expensive toy... take my wallet, take, my phone, you'll never get my gun..... hahaha

i have been carrying since i got my ptc, in the waist.... no stares... and i slip thru guards all the time at greenbelt, robinsons, and sm's.... legit lahat ng papers ko ha....

As long you carry it concealed, it doesn't matter how you do it.

Why do Pinoys use clutch bags to carry guns ?

Is this common practice ?

Parang hinde manly ? <grin>

It was popularized during the Marcos era, his bodyguards wear Barong Tagalog and one cannot conceal his firearm well with that kind of material. The practice caught on.

For me drinking wine is not manly.;)

yes, i agree. people think that you carry something in that handbag. what's worse, baka pagplanuhang i-snatch. kasi, either baril man yan or money, its worth snatching.
mahirap na.

When Pinoys carry clutchbags, do they have to wear make-up too ?

:)
