Someone just announced that they're back in stock. Don't have any experience with them but they look like an Insight M3 knockoff. I'd be curious of the light focus, intensity and whether it's Xenon or LED? ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA??? If anything its $40-60 less but are we comparing apples to apples?

yep, thats the light I have except now they come with a scalloped aluminium ring on the front bezel. It would hurt if it hit you in the face ....wink wink... bad guy beware.

I've had a Xenon one (w/ the jabby rim) for a good while now. Can't beat it for the price. Has a nice tight focus, good for seeing out to ~50yards. Topglock has them for $57. You probably can't go deep sea diving with it, but costs 1/3 the price of the M-3.

Works well enough to have capped a few hogs at night with it on my G23.

The battery cap on mine doesnt seem to wanna stay on.The only raeson it does is because its pressed against my trigger guard. Is anyone elses like this?I guess thats what you get for that kinda money.Bright as hell though.

Battery cap is still tight. How many times have you changed the batteries? Maybe I only have a few more times before the lid won't shut.:)

I have one. It's a good bright light. Only problem I have with it is it will come on if I leave the batteries in it when I case it up. I don't have a holster to try it with but if it comes on in a gun case I imagine it would come on pretty easy in a holster too.

Just my .02

The problem is the battery cap with the clip on it.It will not hold tight. Its only 2 days old.The little pathetic plastic clip thats supposed to hold the battery cap on doesnt work.I already sent an email about.....#1..I didnt receive a warranty card and .#2...It broke on the first day.I hope to hear from them cause if not.....I want my G&^% D%^& money back.
Forest Gump said it best.....Thats all I have to say about that.

Ahh, I see. The tab isn't providing enough resistance to keep the cap in place. Mine's not water tight by any means, but stays firmly in place. That tab/clip looks as though it'd break off rather easily so trying to bend it into shape would work well. If the sob won't stay on though make 'em eat it, and send you one that's right. A supply of free batteries. Those Xenon's are bright, but the 3volts don't last that long in them.

If you join the "buyers club" or whatever it's called, you can get them for $40 from Cheaper Than Dirt. ;P

I'm glad to see some people are pleased with them.

Might be worth trying out for $40. ;f

Not seeing them for $40 bucks on CTD .. buyers club saves you 10%, and they list at 69 and change .. just wondering where you saw that on their site ..

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I just ordered one of these lights for my XD45 from http://www.popguns.com/ledwave/Z5.htm and even though the price is listed at $56.95, when I processed my order, it showed $52.

Hope it turns out to be a decent light. If so, then I'll outfit my other home-defense weapons with them.

You'll probably be quite happy with it. I still like mine, no problems and I've used the heck out of it. The Z5's no M3, but for the loot it's not too shabby and does the trick.

What happened to CG?

I got the light the other day and am very happy with it; decent quality, extremely bright, came with quality batteries and case.

Now trying to decide on a mount for my 870 so I can order another one:thumbsup: .

BTW, it fit perfectly on my XD45 and on my S&W M&P:supergrin: .

If you're gonna' mount a light on a Social Shotgun you might reconsider using a Xenon light. My 870 had a habit of blowing Xenon bulbs at recoil (even with Surefire's spring-dampened reflector assembly). The problem went away as soon as I changed to a Surefire X200A, it has a LED light-source.

However, I've had no issues with my LEDWave Z5 Xenon mounted on my G19. It's been flawless.
